USTF Utah picks new leaders

This last June marked the first meetings of the USTF-Utah board of directors and officers in over 5 years!

New Board Members and State Officers were elected at the meetings, with some new positions created to help accommodate the growth of our organization.

The Board Members (with State Officer Position) are:

Mr. William Dubbeld, Chairman (State Director)

Mr. Robert Riley (Testing Coordinator)

Mr. Ray Hemphill (SLCC College Coordinator)

Mr. Chris Wadium (Tournament Coordinator)

Ms. Stacey Holyoak (Travel Coordinator)

The new officers, besides those listed above, are:

Mr. Eric Gemmell, Event Coordinator, Publicist and Historian

Mr. James Sroykum, Black Belt Coordinator

Mrs. Ann Betts, Secretary

Mr. Billy Dubbeld, Seminar Coordinator

Mrs. Maureen Mulhall, Community Service Coordinator

Mr. Dale Burtch, Treasurer

On June 4, 2005 Utah held a Black Belt Testing, with the following students on the floor:

 

III Dan Candidates:

 

Mr. Eric Gemmell

(High Test Score—Ho Sin Sul)

Mr. James Sroykum

(High Test Score—Over All)

 

II Dan Candidates:

 

Mr. Joseph Parker

Mrs. Corrine Sroykum

 

Everyone gave a great performance, demonstrating good technique and awesome attitudes! Great job to everyone!

Black Belt Testing

On June 21, 2005 Utah held a Color Belt Testing at the Northwest Multipurpose Center.

 

Mr. Dubbeld and Mr. Wadium conducted, with four candidates testing:

 

Mr. Scott Jackson, to 1st Gup,

Mr. James Clemons, to 2nd Gup,

Ms. Hannah Shoell, to 2nd Gup, and

Mr. Connor Gallimore, to 9th Gup.

 

Mr. Gallimore received High Test Score for an excellent performance.
